An exercise in latent logic and artificial creativity, contemplating the digital unconscious. GPT-2 is a text generator using a deep neural network – trained on a unique dataset of essays incorporating computation and consciousness theories – a characterisation emerges which asserts an ideological, socio-political, stance.

Inverting signifiers of containment, internal and externalities, as well as scale – the Vessel forms a grand and delicate, impossible architectural monument – fusing connotations of religious buildings with municipal constructions.

Elevate is an annual interdisciplinary festival held in various central venues around Graz, Austria, combining critical discourse and contemporary music and art.

Orator

Artefacts from an imagined mythology are unearthed through digital archeology, presented in a virtual exhibition space. Orator is a proposition of visual vocabulary, in direct conversation with the cycles of earth, and vortex movement of the total universe. Thus a continuum of recurrence and transformation are symbolised – illustrating a primal language of the planetary intersubjective consciousness and collective mythopoetic unconscious.

Inspired by my installation as Artist in Residence, Elevate chose the title Human Nature as the theme for their 2020 festival. Contributing to the art direction of the visual identity and marketing campaign, animated trailer, design assets for print and activations.

Artwork motif incorporates diverse and interconnected topics on the axis of nature, science and technology, through cellular replication processes, expressing a clinical yet psychedelic character. Trailer music by Lyra Pramuk.
